The Cranky Old Gnome

So apparently nobody quests in Icecrown anymore (besides the dailies).  I’m working on Loremaster of Northrend and all I have to do is Icecrown.  And I’m down to the group quests.  I’ve done every other quest I can and have even soloed some of the easier group quests.  But some of these I’m just not that ‘leet’ as it were.  So I spent probably 3 hours just flying around Icecrown doing dailies, mining ore and spamming “LFG Banshee’s Revenge/Second Chances/Fate of Bloodbane” over and over.  No takers.

And it seems that no-one I know is signing on these days so I don’t have friends to help.  It’s super frustrating.  But tomorrow is another day, and hopefully tomorrow I’ll get a group together.

(Update: Now that I have run 10-man ToC, the tournament makes even less sense without some specific instructions from Tirion.  Also, now I know why everyone has been railing against Tirion, Varian, and Garrosh lately.)

I was doing the Argent Tournament dailies today and I was thinking about how stupid the AT is in general.  I mean, here we are, practially on the Lich King’s doorstep and what have we spent our time doing?  Jousting.  Not just jousting each other, but jousting the Lich Kings commanders.  Oh, and fighting gladiators and beasts Roman Coliseum style.  I know I’m not the first to post about this quasi renaissance fair spectacle, but we’ll pretend because I need to talk about the sillyness of the AT before I can make my point make sense.

By the way, even though these events have been in the game for almost a year now, they are technically ‘spoilerific’ if you haven’t ever done the Wrathgate questline.  So if you haven’t, and don’t want to be spoiled, stop reading here.

I think daylight savings time broke WoW's brain.

On Quel’dorei, daylight savings time only goes back a half hour!

Ok I’m a little late to the party on this, but I can never resist a good survey.  Jessabelle at Miss Medicina created this questionaire-definitly-not-a-meme-survey-thing that I think is really interesting.

For those visiting my site for the first time and got directed to this post, my main in a lvl 80 gnome tank, but my second main is lvl 80 resto shaman.  So I feel like this is a good thing for me to post for my healing side.

I have decided to step down as the guild leader of Higher Education.  I don’t want to make a big thing of it or go into long winded details.  But I wanted to state on the record that I’m turning over the reigns to Wizzbang.
